Butterflies are free....

Fri Dec 18, 2009, 6:52 PM
Oh how I wish to be a butterfly. They are one of the ultimate symbols of freedom, beauty and change. My desire here stems from maturity. I'm old enough to leave my parents, but the cocoon that I'm wrapped up in is simply too tough to break out of yet. or is it that I'm too weak? The latter seems to be the more obvious reason. I'm starting to realize that I need to buck up now, or its going to take me a lot longer than my sanity will allow to make my escape.

If only I was Goldie Hawn's character from "Butterflies are Free". She lived by her own rules and learned to love by them too. The best part about her was that she allowed herself to be free.

Stupid Quizzes

Sat Dec 5, 2009, 7:49 PM
Its finally occured to me that taking those online quizzes that tell you who you are are absolutly ridiculous. I mean, if you can answer the questions, you sould be able to describe who you are. I'm guilty of taking these quizzes of course, but now I'm just annoyed with myself for wasting my time.

This begs the question, if people have to be told who they are by these things, are they really who they think they are? or are they just being fabricated by other people. Has it really become that difficult to discover who we are? get up. get out. take a walk. find yourself. stop relying on others to tell you. I know that I intend on doing that now.

Desire and Communication

Thu Dec 3, 2009, 12:26 PM
At the moment I'm having some very erratic thoughts that I've decided to write down to get out of my head.

Desires are an odd thing. Everyone has them, some act on them, few express them verbally.

The latter is what frustrates me the most. I'm not a mind reader and if I dont know you very well, then I can't even begin to predict what you may want. I'm sure that everyone else agrees with me.

I've been stiving to be more true to my desires and express them simply so that there is no miscommunication. so far its made my life so much easier and happy. I've also found that it brings a lot of good things into your life faster than would happen if you where just waiting in a tower for the prince (or princess, whatever floats your boat) to come and get you.

suddenly I'm reminded of the song "meet me halfway". your prince or princess isn't going to meet you anywhere if you dont make it clear what you want. Nor can you go all the way because they have half of the total choice too. so truely, you have to meet halfway.

In short, I'm just saying to take initiative to put it out there when you want something. life becomes a little easier for all when you do. If I dont have to worry about what you are thinking, then i can finnish figuring out what I'm thinking.

Chaos and Love

Fri Oct 30, 2009, 1:27 PM
Chaos and love are opposite things. Yet there seems to be only a fine line between the two. In the heat of love, everything can be chaos and in the midst of chaos, love can be found. Nothing can be simple under this context. Yet we are in this constant circle where we look for love and chaos finds us because we are trying too hard. Dont the happies people allow things to happen as they are meant to? They surround themselves with love by giving it away instead of chasing it. their amount of chaos is in balance because of this. odd isn't it? you never become depleted when you give more and more love away. yet when you try to drag love to yourself thats when the problems start.

As said in "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

Lysander: Ay me! for aught that I could ever read, could ever hear by tale or history, the course of true love never did run smooth.

Give love away and receive whatever comes back with a gracious heart.

Devious Journal Entry

Fri Oct 16, 2009, 12:38 PM
Everyone is special, loveable and capable just the way they are.

Amendment - Everyone is special, loveable and capable if they choose to be. Anyone can choose to be an outstanding, or special, person in many ways. Volunteering at a charity event, devoting a lifetime to saving the ocean is just a couple of widely varying way. Special isn’t special if one does nothing about it. Absolutely everyone has the ability to love, and when it’s shown to someone a person has automatically made loveable, simple as that. If the opposite was done and one way angry or spiteful with someone, then that is potentially the treatment that would be received in return, so everyone should do themselves a favour and love endlessly. Finally, everyone is capable of doing something. Rick Hansen may not have been able to run the entire length of the Great Wall of China due to his disability, but that didn’t prevent him from making his way along because that is what he believed he was capable of. What is anyone capable of? anyone is capable of anything that can be dreamt of. It’s this power that children are taught about theoretically. As for real life application, it would seem that it has become hard for them to harness.
